SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY
The Buoyant Montessori School serves as a non-profit, private education institution for children ages 2–15. Our teachers nurture and cultivate each child’s curiosity while providing a strong foundation for continued academic success. The Buoyant Montessori School provides a warm, vibrant, educational home designed to foster a love of learning and help all children reach their fullest potential at their own unique pace.
At The Buoyant Montessori School we are invested in creating respectful relationships among teachers, administrative staff, parents, and children. We appreciate and celebrate diversity. We believe each person has the potential to achieve success through an ordered, challenging, nurturing educational environment that includes the whole person – intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and physical. At the center is the child, whose needs are the focus of the learning process. It is the role of the School’s staff members not only to observe, but also to know and defend the rights of the child as he/she proceeds through the learning process.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to be an active part in their child’s education. In an active Facebook and Instagram page, we invite parents to observe in the classroom, join us on exploratory field trips, help us organize school events or fundraisers, and connect with each other informally, creating a network that links the classroom to the community, and in turn, to the world.
