“We have implemented this health protocol for a long time. For us, cleanliness is a must, ”said Principal of Bouyant Montessori School, Aprinoet Selfani, S.Pd, when met by reporters some time ago.
According to this woman who is fluent in English, the school has provided 2 options to parents of students regarding learning with the offline class method and online classes at the Buoyant Montessori School.
“For online class and offline class, it has been implemented since July 13,” he explained.
Miss Selfani said that learning using offline and online systems was carried out in 2 shifts. It also limits the quota for each class, so that social distancing is maintained.
“For the first shift, the offline class consisted of four students who were accompanied by two teachers. Meanwhile, the second shift consists of two students and two teachers, “explained Selfani to reporters.
Due to covid-19, Bouyant Montessori School Kupang has also reduced student learning hours. Teaching and learning in the classroom are only held for 3 hours.
“So because there are two shifts, we do it three or three hours. For example, the first shift is from 8 am to 11 am, then the second shift will be continued from 12 noon to 3 pm, “he explained.
Selfani added, Bouyant Montesorri School Kupang uses two curricula, including the Montessori curriculum from the North American Montesorri Center (NAMC) and Curriculum 13 (K13).
“We use the montessori curriculum and learning methods as well as the 2013 or K13 Curriculum,” he concluded.
Buoyant Montessori School is one example of a school in Kupang City that strictly and best applies the covid-19 health protocol.
